A meal can change a life

I witnessed something that changed me forever during a visit to my alma mater—Sekolah Kerajaan Tamil, in Buntong, Ipoh. Standing at the morning assembly, I watched helplessly as a student collapsed before my eyes.

What I discovered next was heartbreaking: many students attend school without breakfast or any midday snack. For some, their only meal might be lunch—if they’re fortunate enough to have one. How can we expect children to learn, grow, and thrive when their basic needs aren’t met?

This pivotal moment sparked “Hunger-No-More,” a program that ensures no child at Sekolah Kerajaan Tamil studies on an empty stomach.

Our Impact

Since January 2020, we’ve provided daily meals to 50 students. Each meal costs less than one USD, but its value is immeasurable—it means concentration in class, energy to learn, and hope for a better future.
